The Prince Arthur – Windsor
Just a short stroll from Windsor’s town centre is a hidden treasure, a traditional English pub set among the chimney pots of Grove Road. The Prince Arthur was established in 1877 and has been serving their loyal customers ever since. Built within the site of Windsor Castle, the pub is yet to receive a visit from the Queen, however, it’s rumoured that rock royalty did visit, The Rolling Stones are believed to have played here in 1961.
The pub has been a winner of Windsor Pubs In Bloom and also awarded Fullers Master cellar man status for the quality of their ales and lagers.
The Prince Arthur is a family-run pub where dogs are greeted first and is rated the best place in Windsor to watch sport, with eight screens you will not miss a game. There is an excellent function room for hire and a wonderful outside space to relax in.
Sundays are special as it is roast day, with all the trimmings and during the week visitors can enjoy a freshly prepared and baked on site Barrel & Stone stone baked pizza.
The pubs motto: No strangers here, only friends yet to be made!
